Welcome to a new episode of Mödular Kollektv’s DJ SET OF THE MONTH!
To close out this magnificent year, we bring you a very special set featuring Kiko Melis, one of Mallorca’s most respected DJs and a key figure who has influenced more than two generations within the island’s electronic music scene.
Born in Inca and with over 30 years of experience, Kiko Melis began his DJ career in Alcúdia, playing at clubs like Imaginé and collaborating with promoters such as Lolita Essence. In 2011, he moved to Palma, where he became a resident DJ at the legendary Cassette club and the Dirt Diggler promoter, later adding residencies at Brooklyn and R33.
Throughout his extensive career, he has played in every single one of the island’s most important clubs and shared the booth with some of the most influential DJs on the international scene, such as Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, and Honey Dijon, earning their respect.
The result: An elegant, solid, and deeply club-oriented DJ set, recorded at Sótano Club on December 20th, coinciding with Zulos Club’s 25th anniversary, and with which we bid farewell to the year on December 31st alongside the entire Mödular Kollektv family.
